Abstract

Throughout the first decade of the 21st century, as well as in the past century, there were many artists who created their cultural products based on the figure of the literary and historic character known as the Cid Campeador. Punctually, this paper will discuss three texts: the book "Poem of the ciD canpeadoR synthetically abbreviated for all", by Oski and César Bruto (1957), the film "The Cid" by Anthony Mann (1962) and the animation film "The Cid, the legend" (2004) by José Pozo. This study aims to analize the conditions of production, the aesthetic intention of the creators and its reception in the social and cultural context in which each of these texts appeared in the media, whether in the press or in the cinema
