Abstract

The manuscript P (National Library of France) of the Libro del cavallero Zifar is a 15th century codex that, due to the illustrations that it contains, allows to estimate the dynamics of production and reception of those medieval manuscripts that conjugate text and the image. The present work postulates the relation of some images centred on the chivalric adventure of Zifar and his family with the text in a rhetoric related with the initial redaction of the text and the reception one century and a half later
