Epístolas de Max Aub a Ignacio Soldevila Durante (y viceversa): El devenir de una preciosa amistad
Main Article Content
Abstract
Intellectual migrations, starting as early as 1936 as a consequence of the Spanish Civil War, were followed by those of scholars who developed their work abroad. Among them we find the Valencian Ignacio Soldevila Durante who settled down in Quebec in 1956. Two years earlier he had written a letter to the writer Max Aub and with the passing of time he became his best friend as well as his best specialist. Soldevila-Aub's epistolary (1954-1972) reveals, among other things, biographical facts and issues related to the writer's work and to the crucial decades of the last century. Likewise, the letters provide definite information on the many expelled by the war to the land of exodus.
