Notas sobre un diálogo interrumpido
Main Article Content
Abstract
Emilia de Zuleta offers a detailed comment of Epistolario (1952-1972), i.e. letters between Max Aub and Francisco Ayala recently published by the Fundación Max Aub. This is a thorough publication including an introductory study and notes by Ignacio Soldevila Durante. Zuleta analyses not only the letters but also Soldevila' opinions concerning controversies and circumstances involving Spanish intellectuals in exile. On the other hand the careful reading of this 'interrupted dialogue' gives Zuleta the opportunity to emphasize the correspondents' interests, feelings and projects, as well as reconstruct their personal profiles. The comparative approach leads the author to contrast Max Aub's and Francisco Ayala's reactions to Spanish historical events.
