Abstract

The following article analyses Rafael Azcona's mentioned short stories book, thoroughly looking into the author's use of procedures belonging to the grotesque. It proposes, likewise, an explanation of the absence of Azcona's name in the most important histories of Spanish literature by means of two main lines of research: the deflection on the post war-hegemonic narrative canon and the dissociation between the disciplinary fields of literature and cinema.
