Abstract
This paperwork's purpose is to analyse the change in relationships between orality, handwriting and print produced in Spanish literature during the transition from the Middle Ages to Renaissance. Starting by the study of these different "technologies of the word" -quoting the subtitle of Walter Ong's classic work-, this paperwork tries to enlighten the characteristics of a process leading to the modernity's literary manifestations and sketching the first features of the phenomenon later constituted as the mass culture.
