Abstract

This article proposes a comparison between La Celestina and La Dorotea based on their discursive particularities. From the reign of the Catholic Monarchs, a series of literary innovations took place that modelled a creative line with projection until the Golden Age: the configuration of a self-conscious author who narrates himself, the disappearance of traditional rules of style for the construction of type-characters, the innovative use of a "copious style" in which vocabulary of different etymologies and registers proliferate and intertwine.
